PS3 outsells Wii in Japan again, Mario Galaxy sees a sales drop
Has Japan finally come to it senses? According to Famitsu.com the Playstation 3 has outsold the Nintendo Wii in Japan once again. It looks as though some PS3 games has sparked this welcomed jump in sales for Sony, which says only want thing. More games will sell more PS3s! Not that we didn’t know that already, mind.

Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune demo out today
If you have a US account, today you will be able to download the Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune demo. We played the demo at Games Convention 2007 in Germany about 20 times, and I can’t wait to play it again.
Playstation 3 2.00 firmware update hits - not that good?
I have just finished downloading and installing the new PS3 2.00 firmware and it’s not as huge as I had expected. It adds a slightly pointless information news thingy into the corner which doesn’t really tell you much, but it does add the customer theme option like the PSP had done a while ago which is good. They have also included the option to turn your ps3 on/off to access media content anywhere in the world from a wifi spot, which is pretty good.
Overall, I don’t know why people are so disappointed. It’s not like Sony said there would be In-gam XMB in 2.00, but I hope they’re working on it.
SCEE confirms Metal Gear Solid 4 / Dualsock3 / PS3 bundle
According to PSXExtreme, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe have confirmed a Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots bundle for Europe before easter. As well as MGS4 and a PS3 (not sure which version, 40GB or 60GB but since 60GB is phasing out most likely 40GB.) Sony have too apparently said that the bundle will include a Dualshock 3 (I.E SIXAXIS rumble) in the box.
“We are working on a PlayStation 3 bundle that includes Metal Gear 4 Solid and the new DualShock. We want it to hit the high street before Easter. That’s what we’re pushing for at the moment.”
Not too sure on this story being 100% true, so we’ll wait for some official word and some boxshots.

Reccomendations:
- Call of Duty 4 looks excellent. They have finally left the WW2 scene and it looks to be a bit like Battlefield 2, that we love, which could mean good things.
- We played the Dynasty Warriors: Gundam demo and… lets say Parappa the Rappa has more attacks. Rent if you’re REALLY into Gundam.
- Lego Star Wars is the first two epsiodes put into one. Episode II was really popular on PSP and its a shame they’re not making it this time, but if you’re into starwars and like lego (who doesnt?) this is the game for you.
- I’ve been playing Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction for only 2 1/2 hours and I love it. It’s classic R&C, so if you ever liked an R&C then buy this!
- WWE isn’t my favorite, but they’re good for a laugh. Reviews are yet to come from this game but basic impressions from videos etc tells me that you’ll be getting the same ever popular wrestling experience as in previous WWE/WWFs.
New Folklore / Folksoul PS3 Scans
Here are some new scans of the Playstation 3 Exclusive Folklore, or Folksoul in Japan being developed by Team Genji. The scans mention monsters, name a couple of Non-Playable characters, downloadable monsters from the Playstation store and other things. Dark Sector Delayed
D3 announced yesterday that Dark Sector which was previously set for an end-of-the-year release has been pushed back to early 2008. They’re not remodeling, they’re not redesigning and they’re not improving… they’re waiting.
“The official word is that we did decide to take it out of a very crowded holiday season,” said Megan Korns, a D3 publicist.
Basically, there lots of games coming out this holiday season for Playstation 3 and they dont want to be overshadowed and want their game noticed, with is fair enough. As well as that, it’s probably fair to say that any Xbox 360 game coming out anywhere near this september is unlikely to be looked at with Halo 3 on the shelves.
More Famitsu details: Tekken 5 online, Time Crisis 4, Folksoul [Folklore] Review
This weeks Famitsu magazine once again gives us no Final Fantasy XIII or Final Fantasy Versus XIII Square Enix Party love. However, Famitsu have revealed that Tekken 5: DR will soon be playable online which allows you to fight players online anywhere in the world. As well as this they revealed Tekken 4 for Playstation 3 along with Guncon and have reviewed and scored Folklore (Folksoul in Japan) at 8/9/8/8.

Guncon 3 for Playstation 3 revealed
A recent scan from Famitsu magazine has revealed Guncon 3 for Time Crisis 4 on Playstation 3. Details are scarce, but at the moment this title is said to exclusive to the Playstation 3.

Florida Teenager saves his Playstation 3 with a Samurai Sword
Last Friday afternoon teenager, Damian Fernandez chased off a bungler with a Samurai Sword after he tried to steal his Playstation 3. According to FileFront, Damian was home with his sister while his parents were at work when a man knocked on the door. They ignored it only to hear two men attempting to break in minutes later. When they heard this, hs sister quickly hid in the closet while Damian grabbed his sword.
“Once I saw him take off running back, I jumped off my (bunk) bed and I grabbed my sword … and I just waited for him,”
Damian managed to strike him in the chest before which, rightly so, made him run. Damian being a Black Belt in karate decided to chase after them. Eventually the police found one of the men hiding in a palm tree.
Apparently they found the empty Playstation 3 box and were searching for the actual console. I say well done to him, I’d chase someone with a sword if they scratched my PS3, let alone tried to steal it. :P
