6 days left — 6th reason why you should have a ps3
Over the next 7 days we will be giving you 7 reasons why we think you should invest in a Playstation 3. (At some point or another, though we’re all getting it on launch, right?) These will just be 7 reasons in no specific order, just 7 basic reasons why we see the Playstation 3 as lick-able.
Most powerful games console in the world
The Playstation 3 is, according to specification, the most powerful console in the world. The Playstation 3 shows off a stunning Cell processor, 8 cores with 512MB of RAM. These specs allow a massive amount of graphic details with hundreds of things on screen with no slow-down. At the moment, the comparison between the Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 shows not alot of difference, however the Playstation 3 is still being understood. New software for publishers has been developed by Sony called The Playstation Edge, which will allow 3rd party companies to understand and use the console at its best potential. At the moment we are seeing about 20% [according to an EA rep] of what the Playstation 3 can do. This is certainly exciting when comparing the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 versions of EA’s Fight Night Round 3. Another game while attempting to push the limits of the PS3 which hasnt nearly got to the edge is Final Fantasy XIII. In the screenshot below you can see the details on the character and monster are stunning. Even more exciting is that this is a work in progress, so expect the White Engine (which powers Final Fantasy XIII) to improve, because its not finished yet.
